Privacy policy

What we collect

Account: name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash), date of birth.
Profile details you choose to add (college, budget, lifestyle, photo). Gender and age are optional and hidden by default.
Verification: college email, or an uploaded document that is deleted right after review.
Messages, listings, enquiries, swipes, reports and blocks.
Security data: sign-in times, IP address and an audit log of sensitive actions.

How we use it

To show you compatible students and listings, and run chat.
To keep the platform safe: preventing fraud, reviewing reports, enforcing rules.
To send account emails (verification codes, password resets, important notices). No marketing emails without consent.

What others see

Other students see only your display name, photo and the profile fields you allow. We never show your email, phone, full name, date of birth, documents or a listing's exact address (shared only after you accept an enquiry).

Who can access it

Moderators access data only when reviewing a report or verification; document views are logged. We do not sell personal data. Hosting and email providers process data on our behalf.

Your rights

You can edit your profile, hide from discovery, download your data, and delete your account from Account & privacy. Deletion hides your profile immediately; data is erased after a 7-day grace period, except limited records we must keep for an open safety investigation or by law.

Retention

Unverified sign-ups are removed after 14 days; one-time codes expire in 10 minutes; security logs are kept for audit purposes.
